hmmm... designer tree? probably not but i love that the girls love it and made it their own. i pretty much decided that you only have a few years for you tree to look this cool so let it happen . It's a little bit tinsel heavy around the bottom foot of the tree... hmmm i wonder why that is?

Do your eyes hurt from all of the tinsel? Yep we handed the bag over to the girls and let them go to town!
Alices couldn't be more happy with grabbing it off and Ann chasing her around the house.

For Halloween we were Ann: little red riding hood, Scott- axe man or woods man, Alice- wolf and i was the grandma. I LOVE LOVE LOVED our costumes! Ann was so excited to dress as a theme.
To the Columbus zoo we go... we went with the Howard's (we love them!)

my grandma syracuse didn't meet alice before we visited (she was 6 months old) Alice was named after grandma and we had a chance to make the trip to see her to i took the girls and did it because my grandma is one of my most favorite people of all times and she's sooo worth it. it was such a great trip to have her know and play with the girls.

Alright, to catch everyone up on our lives. We were sent to Ohio for Scott's last year of school (his rotations). We didn't think they would ever send us this far away so in may it came as a huge shock that we had to move our family to yet another state. We found a house to rent and moved in May. We had an amazing party for Ann's 3rd birthday- by her choice it was a dinosaur party and she LOVED it! We put Ann in t ball and she starts preschool in september 2 days a week for 2 hours. I found an AMAZING preschool that i am really excited about. We have story hour for ann and another infant story hour for Alice at the library. Not only is Alice crawling but she's couch cruising and really wanting to walk! She's fearless! She has 2 bottom teeth and she has 2 top teeth but they are not her front teeth they are on the sides where her front teeth are so she looks like a little vampire :) She is so happy and easy going - she really like people watching and loves to be outside. Also we are so blessed to have our girls love each other so much! Ann loves being a big sis and Alice loves following Ann. We have to tell Ann that hugs last long enough that Alice is still smiling and not too long that she isn't happy anymore :) We went to family reunion in July for Scott's family and it was awesome to see everyone and get together. We just celebrated our 8th Anniversary last week (thank you to scott's mom for coming to watch the kids) It seems like we have found our place in Ohio (**excluding the football team). When we first moved with unpacking and Scott being busy it was a little crazy for a while but things have settled down enough that it feels like home. We feel blessed for the opportunity to have each other and to be here. So that in a nut shell has been our summer so far. Hopefully i will post pictures of these things but for now we have a few new pictures we got done last month.
I have a pictures of us and Ann in this pose and i thought it would be fun to have a few pictures of just us and Alice. (MAybe i am the 3rd child and don't have very many pictures of me that there aren't 3 other kids in it) i just thought it would be special. Is that weird?
Scott and his girls! Ya know i always knew scott loved kids and that he would be an great father but most days he blows me away at the AMAZING father he is.
I don't know why but this is my favorite picture, maybe because it feels like everyday... us just wrestling on the ground together.

Our trip to the DC temple

Ok so I am a little behind with my blogging. This is when we went to the DC temple right before we moved to Ohio. We went with our wonderful friends the pointers :-) We shared a hotel room and swapped kids when the other ones went in. also my font is being a little crazy but i don't know how to change it so i am goig to leave it blue and underlined :)
I wanted a family picture in front of the temple and i think it will be great to put it up in the girls room. ann was so excited to go and see the temple. in fact after our super long day and we had to drive home and ann was so sad that we had to leave the temple she wanted to stay longer so we were the parent in the parking lot with the bawling child :) It was a long but amazing day!

Rolling Already?? Crazy?? I feel like it took ann so long to roll and interact and Alice is just growing up WAY WAY too fast!! Alice's colors are really showing through. She's a great nap taker and she's very vocal about everything she squals in delight for most of the day. She has the most darling squeaky voice i have ever heard. She loves to be on her belly and back and just hang out. Which is handy when you have 2 kids and your potty training or cooking... or trying to get anything done. She's a great eater and loves to smile and be played with. I am not sure where she got it from but she knows exactly what she wants- and when she wants it! I feels so blessed to have the most wonderful girls :)

Scott had his big day!! He had his pinning ceremony (for finishing the school part of the program) he has 1 more year of clinicals where he works out in the feild. They have sent us to Ohio for that so we will be moving 2 weeks from today!!! Yikes!! Don't worry (what scott calls a rediculous amount of planning) I call being prepared i have packed 2 boxes almost every day since we found out because he is in finals the week before we go than we are moving the next day and only have a few days before he starts clinical.
Here he is... he's laughing because he pretended that the lady poked him. it was pretty funny! Oh scott, never a dull moment :)

During conference the girls were coloring... doesn't Alice look so big with the marker in her hand?
Oh what fun it is to find a box and play in it for hours... this wouldn't be a problem if she didn't empty out the contents first :)

Alice's BLESSING DAY!!! It was great to have the family there. Scott's mom made the dress and it is beautiful! I am pretty sure i have the best mother in law :)
This is John and Kathy's sweet little girl...Elle I pretty much love her tongue, she sticks it out to feel her new teeth that are coming in and it is pretty impressive! She so cute and ready to walk!

Somehow we got them in the picture together... it was rough there for a few mins but we made it! I love Dylan's arm on his grandpa... so sweetHere is John and Kathy with Elle and that little tongue again...lol

Alice is so smiley... after several weeks of colic and her being unhappy we FINALLY (we think) figured out the problem, and this is our happy girl! Ann decorated her with the peace sign sticker and gave her Lego's that are on each side of her :)

Scott put Alice in Ann's stroller she actually fits! And no we didn't let ann push her around... come on people!

oh the love of sisters- Ann can love her so much that she accidentally elbows her and we don't hear a peep but if i wipe spit up off her she has a fit :) Already i think she loves her big sis

I love that when Ann talks to Alice she says words like "sweety", and "darling"

Our life with 2 is crazy!! changes with two kids are:

my house is no longer immaculate

days fly by even faster than before

twice the smiles

i may never have time for a hobby again

schedules are out the window :)

sleep is more important than a clean house or ANY project

i tell myself 10 times a day to RELAX :)

the balancing act has begun

goal for the day: Get everyone dressed and ready for the day, make everyone happy :), cook dinner, survive :)

i wouldn't trade it for the world!

If everyone is dressed and ready for the day, happy, and i make dinner i feel like super mom...lol How on earth do people get other things done?

It took us a few mins but we got the coat buttoned... Alice wasn't a happy camper about being squeezed in there (I might have a bruised rib) but i was A LOT warmer!!

This is it! As Ann would say "The most perfect Christmas Tree" and it is!

Okay when we first arrived ann would hug every little tree and ask if this one could be hers and as she would hug it she said"it's just a perfect little tree" we finally convinced her that ours should be bigger!

So we picked out our Christmas tree. This has to be

one of my favorite things about Christmas is the real tree!! I am so excited about Christmas i think ann is at such a fun age for gifts and it means Alice will be here and i am so excited to meet her!

Ok an update on the family... scroll down...

Ok we got there pictures taken in August of the Family!

I just realized i am now over 8 month pregnant i have not posted since i was 3... wow sorry about that i am just going to start from here because i was going to go back but i don't think I'll ever get to it and actually post something new. Update on us... we're doing really good! We're super happy and just waiting for Alice (new baby girl) to come. My c section is Dec 28th... i know terrible day right after Christmas but we will make it special. Scott is doing great in school and Ann and i are having a blast.

Ann is absolutely hilarious she is such a well behaved girl i keep thinking terrible 2's will come. Her new line when we ask her to do something is "Okay...well what if we play first and THEN get our pj's on" Such a negotiator.

Just today Scott told her to stop putting her 2 fingers in her nose (which was the 1st time we have seen her)and she said" Daddy, I'm keeping the bees out of it" She has successfully gone into her own little pretend world. I was the kid that was in my happy place for most the day so i just laugh when i see her playing with all her little toys and they are making dinner or going to school or learning how to share... She teaches he dolls all sorts of things. It is crazy how big she is now!

Ann's favorite phrase is "I would LOVE to" I'll ask her to put her coat on... "oh sure i would love to mom" It makes me smile every time she says it! We just got our Christmas tree Sat so i will post those pictures next... i am back blogging well a little break for the baby :-) in late December but I AM BACK!!

We're going to have another BABY!! We are so excited! I am 12 Weeks and we have had an ultra sound and everything looks great. Our Doctors apt. we heard the heart beat and we just feel so blessed to have another miricle in our life! I am officially Due Jan 2nd..... hhooorray!! Have i mention how EXCITED we are!

Civil war reenactment...

Mom and Cindy came to Ann's birthday that very weekend Philippi has their blue and grey festival. The festival is a reenactment of the civil war and they go all out. Here are some pictures. Ann goes down for her nap and Cindy, Scott, and my mom all start decorating. We had some balloons up for when she got up but we wanted it to be a big surprise when she wakes up. So i tried to finish the cake. I was making my own frosting and it taste terrible so i had Scott go buy some... i usually can make good frosting but not today :-) Here is her cake. I love how it turned out!

As We are all decorating Cindy's baby (Dylan 5 1/2 months) Is so stinking happy on the ground i had to snag a picture of him he is such a roller and he rolled himself into a little roll. When Ann woke up and put on her party dress... she was so excited for her party to actually begin

She loved the ducks! Good thing we got like 40 of them :-)

Ann picked this giant balloon out at the dollar store... it is HUGE!! Guess who had to hold it for the 30 min drive home? Oh yes. that was a mom job ...lol Oh yes abby-dabby is there for all the action

Ann's 2nd Birthday!!

I have no idea how Ann has become this big. My little girl is 2 YEARS OLD!! She truly seems like a little girl too. I decided that i could make her birthday really cute but i wanted it to be something she enjoyed. I have no idea why but she loves rubber ducks. My sister Cindy and i went a little crazy with the theme and decided to have some fun! Thanks mom for making birthdays such a fun day when we were little, my parents never had tons of money but birthdays were always super special. It all started with a duck invitation i made silly little duck cut outs and put her invites on them. She was more happy to pass them out to people than i dreamed of. She was having " a rubber duck party" When she passed them out she would say in the third person because Ann only refers to herself in the third person" Ann having rubber duck party you comin?" If duck or party was mentioned she would compulsively tell you about how Ann is having a rubber duck party.

For her birthday we got her a trampoline(thank you tax refund :-)). We just decided we really needed something outside for her to play with and it was the same amount as a little swing set she would grow out of. Scott had a trampoline for almost 20 years and kids of all ages use it. We thought if we were going to spend money on something why not get something that would last.

If you can't tell from the picture she LOVES it!! She has so much fun. She rolls around on it and jumps and we put the sprinkler on it. It is so fun to see her enjoy it!

Great Grandma Syracuse sent Ann the most adorable gift. She loves Abby cadabby from sesame street. Grandma send it to her and i will try and post the video tomorrow it is getting a little late but she was so excited to see it. It can got in the bath with her. That night she took a bath and didn't want any other toy but her abby-dabby as Ann says. We would wash her hair and Abby's. Ann was so excited she could go "swimming" and cried when she had to leave it to dry. A few minuets and a couple of tears later Abby was wrapped up in a towel and Ann was helping her dry off.

Ann loved finding the eggs! We placed them way out in the open and she would run to them screaming the color than drop it in the bucket and the egg would smash to pieces!

This was the funniest part of the day. Ann touched this grass and she HATED the way it felt. When she would fall she wouldn't put her hands down to catch herself... so when we were about to leave she fell but fell forward. Instead of bracing herself with her hands she put her hands out and fell flat on her belly with all four limbs out and up so they wouldn't touch she also didn't want her head to touch so she was stretching her little neck as long as she could. it was so funny that she hated that feeling

Kids Museum

After DC we went to North Carolina and spent time with Scott's sister and their family. We don't see them very often and it was GREAT to spend some time with them. We had a blast the kids played amazing together! We went to a children's museum and it was amazing! I felt like Scott and i were having as much fun as Ann. Under water sea room

Tons of blocks to build. Scott was in heaven until Ann started helping him and knocked of his mater piece :-) We always get way into kids things... maybe we are just big kids ourselves

Capitol Hill- i love this picture. scott always gives me a hard time bc Ann is in a full on winter jacket... sometime i might be a little over board. it was a little chilly. i just don't want her to get sick

We went sledding with some friends a few weeks ago! Ann's favorite thing is to be outside! She loves it. We can be outside for over an hour and she is still sad when we come inside. This is Scott and Ann's giant snow man. we have received so much SNOW just last weekend we got 8-10 inches plus the snow on the ground. it is over my knee!!

All bundled up and ready to play. This is when we started to sled. Ann says "no" to every question except when we asked her if she wants to sled again she simply replies okay... or again again!

We had a party with all of her stuff animals!

She still loves to read books and now i love it because she will sit and read to her little friends

Scott and Ann went and played out in the snow... she LOVED it! She must get that from her daddy because i HATE being cold. she was bundled up really well and she made the snow man and played and still was a little sad to come in. Everyday i think... how is this our little baby? she's such big girl.

With her little nose after plying outside. This is straight from my childhood... my mom always made us hot coco and toast when we came in from playing in the snow. So i had it ready for them when they came in. Thanks mom for being such a great mom and a good example for me to follow

So as you can see Ann was not huge fan of her snow pants when we were inside. she kept saying off please off and neck ouch because the zipper comes up to her neck. It is pretty funny when she say neck or anything with a hard K sound because it is HARD 'K'!

SANTA... i know him!!

We saw Santa for the first time! This is about as close as we got to him. Still even though she was terrified she says SANTA!! Ho ho ho! In every picture and statue we see.

Philippi the small city we live in has a parade for pretty much everything and i mean everything! A Halloween Christmas, whatever the holiday they have one and i love it! This is the Christmas parade and it was the biggest one yet. Here is Santa!

So yes, if you look close there is man dressed like Jesus. This was a church float and i had to take a picture because i thought it was kind of odd... who does that?

Peter Pan, Wendy and Tinker Belle

Yes Yes Happy Halloween! I have been into sewing like crazy and i made all of our costumes. It was so much fun and under 26$$ hooray!! We went to a trunk or treat at our church in these pictures with all of the kids running around.

Our little Tinkerbell and somehow she didn't really mind the wings... who knew?

This picture is at the college (AB) where scott attends. it was just for kids so we didn't dress up. yes yes we went to all this with ann and she loved it... but she doesn't eat candy really so scott and i were munching on all the treats!

We went to a pumpkin patch and corn maze. no one told us there was so much mud that our shoes pants, stroller was covered. we couldn't even push the stroller it was stuck just sliding in the mud. Of course independent Ann wanted to walk every where so she was covered... what a day. Will we go again? OF COuRSE... i am all about fun places to go. i think it is a great experience and i love to get out. we had to drive about an hour but... it was worth it!

Sorry fellow bloggers i have been terrible at updating our blog! I keep telling myself i need to get everything in order in my house and than i realized... it may never happen. The basement is orginized the kitchen is clean i am up on scapbooking, journaling annd my calling, our tree and decorations are up i feel like i am doing ok. i have a few mins so i will try and up date everyone.

We came to this lumber jack competition like the lumberjack thing on espn... we LOVED it! Yes we woke up at 6 am to see people chop down tree's ... really fast!

When you're in WV be like a Virginian we always Say :-) So here we are...

This picture is of Ann chasing the goats and pigs in the little pen. It was so hard to get a good picture because she is chasing after them saying baaaa babaaaa super loud it was awesome!

Here is one of the tree cutters now... this is one of my favorite things they did. They make a notch and stand on the board and it holds them and they climb the tree. it is pretty cool. Ann was such a trooper. She seems to LOVE being outside and the animals. She loved all of the cool little booths and it was a great and FREE family activity!

These are our friends that
came with us, Ashley and Brian Barton. Brian is the the PA program with Scott and is also a 1st year. They are our new friends and anyone who is willing to wake up that early for a lumber jack show is a keeper :-)

And So it BEGINS... Ann took the whole roll of toilet paper off. She pretty much loves it!!! When i walked in she was putting her stuff animals in it and hugging the TP. So it was pretty fun for a day to use unrolled toilet paper... i thought we had a longer time before she would get into stuff like this...

We went to go see some of the sights in philippi. This is a pretty cool river with these huge rocks you can walk on.

I love this picture because i feel like Ann looks like a giant!!! She has such little feet. the shoes she is wearing are sized 6-9 month and most kids aren't walking so they don't have any soles on them if you look at the bottom.

Dad, This is for you!

My dad has been patiently waiting for a video of our new place. Everytime i talk to him i tell him... when the house is clean i will take a video. Inspite of my daily efforts of cleaning and having my house almost perfectly clean... i just came to the realization that it may never be perfectly clean. It is always deep cleaned but when Ann is big enough to grab out book and toys it is unfair to tell your children they can't play with something because you want the house clean. How is that helping her grow and learn and discover? So this is our place almost perfect.

These mummies have been in national geographic and all sorts of newspaper. They are kind of creepy but... it was cool to see them!

Eric(brother in law) and Jaime (scott's sister) came to see us. It was SO fun to see them and also to see Ann with her cousins. She doesn't get to see them very much. It was the first time someone with kids came and stayed with us. I thought Ann would have a hard time sharing her toys but she did ok. There weren't any tantrums but a few times she would just sit on top of a toy if they were playing with it or hawk eye the toy until they were done. there was her rocking chair that she LOVES and she wasn't a fan if someone else sits on it. How do you teach an only child to share? at 15 month even? It's hard but like any body we are working on it :-)

BARBOUR COUNTY FAIR

We went with our new friends from the philippi branch (church). We could not miss the county fair with it's derby (V8 cars and trucks), animals, hog weigh in and MUCH MUCH more with all walks of life coming out of the wood work. If i could have taken a picture for future generations i would have of a women with a she-mullet down to her butt, a see threw tank top without a bra (she was like 60) with stretch pants that were jean material...

Ann loved the animals!!! When we went into the barn we looked at all the cows and i said Ann it's a cow. A cow says Moo. Than right after i said that the cow moo-ed a super loud moo and she was SOOO excited! She moo-ed and moo-ed again! It was like all the books of animal sound were coming to life and she REALLY got it!

She loved the animals so much she was so sad to leave them! Needless to say we spent a lot of time at the barn. She loved the cows and sheep. The pigs she didn't want any part of. I don't blame her they we so big and smelly and a little ugly :-)

It was a trip to go to the fair. i decided i think next year i am going to enter something for sewing!

We decided to paint the freaken awesome wood paneling in the front room. we started to paint the higher part of the wall that Ann couldn't reach and we look down and she is covered in paint!!! Like COVERED!! She is sad because i wouldn't let her play in the paint.

This is our truck full to the brim with our things, as we were packing we realized WE HAVE SO MUCH STUFF!! So we had a yard sale and got rid of tons of
extra stuff we had. Day of packing we realize... there is no way we fitting it in. we had another yard sale and got rid of even more things... like it felt like EVERYTHING!!! Every piece of furniture besides our bedroom set and anns crib This is the uhaul when we left.

Oh yeah were we ghetto and strapped a tote on to the tonge of the trailer.... oh yes. and it rode all the way!

Good bye Utah... we will miss our wonderful friends there ! They feel like family because we were there for so long!

Did i mention we have a cat that we tranquilized so she would ride good in the car. Ann was amazing... no we didn't give her any extra pills. She was just an amazing child. there was no crying or melt downs the whole 30 hrs!!! She was so good!

This is my Giant baby... she looks so big all by herself standing there. It was great to go temple with Ben because he has never seen the salt lake temple and it was fun to catch all the sights with him. It is a cool experience.

Ann was a little hesitant at first because she had 15 people just watching her but, after we started to move around and didn't all stare at her she started with 1 finger to poke at the frosting than she dove right in. She ate all of the frosting half the cake and quite a lot of ice cream. I though she would have a sugar rush and pass out but she did it pretty well.

I love her face here ! We have tried to not to give her any sugar and feed her really healthy thing, organic is possible so she was in heaven with all of this sugar.

Sweet sweet Grandma Syracuse sent Ann a gift and it got here just in time. She got her a little bear that is also a book and she has been playing around with it since she got it. SHE LOVES IT!! Thanks Grandma for making the special effort... we love you and can't wait to see you in July! The card was so thoughtful... thank you!

My Mom and Dad have gotten her so many thing and i saved some clothes for her to open for her birthday. I can't wait for her to wear the giraffe PJ's it reminds me of when we went to FL. Thanks mom and dad for being amazing parents and grandparents.

I don't even know how it happened... but Ann's 1! I feel like she is still my little baby. She is up walking around with a voice and an opinion. I can't even handle it. What a BIG girl!

Whit was so great to come over for Ann's party.

We got Ann some balloons and she loved them. She would go and hug them all day long. Best $1 gift!

Ben and Cindy came all the way from Michigan for Ann's birthday. It was so fun for them to really get to know Ann and he personality. It was great to see them!

Scott used to go every weekend with these guys but Terran moved away. He came back in town and at the top of his list was to frolf! Frolf-ing attire is tear away pants, aviator sunglasses, the shortest shorts you can find, an unbelievable tight/ white trash shirt and a spedo... just in case your Frisbee gets thrown in the disease infested water.

We colored eggs Saturday. We originally thought we would let Ann color eggs with us and get all messy but we decided that there would be dye on her clothes, skin, hands, face , tongue and also all over us and everything she touches which is just about everything she can reach we decided she will have to wait until next year.

So in the picture of Ann feeding the Giraffe she was totally okay with trusting Scott and feeding the Giraffe but after she felt that SLIMY tongue when we tried to do it again and video tape it... she kept dropping the cracker when she would see the long tongue. Oh my goodness. Yes! This is my little baby feeding a giant giraffe! Scott was feeding the giraffe than he gave Ann a piece and the LOOONG giraffe tongue came out and she licked it from Ann's hand.

We went to my dad's work which was really fun. I haven't seen it since they moved to FL . Now i can visualize where he is when i am talking to him during the day.

It is kind of hard to see but Ann is holding a little baby wrench which cracks us up. It is just her size.

Ann does this funny thing that she bends her head to try and see around people. If she can't see their face she will bend her head and it is adorable.

We were at this Chinese buffet and they was this little lobster, Scott brought it over to the table and scared my mom with it and than Ann started to play with.... eeww gross!

My parents are so stinkin cute! I love them so much! They were so accommodating and it was just great to see them!

Ann loved walking on the beach. Hated the cold water but the sand in between her toes... She loved it!

It was so fun... not only to see my parents but to see Ann with her grandparents. They saw her at Christmas but i feel like her personality has exploded since she is able to walk.

My parents LOVED her! We could have just stayed at their house and played the whole time. It took a few days for them to be able to hold her and few more for Ann to willingly walk to them.

I don't think since Ann was born there has been someone that was around 24 7 . It was fun to have my parent know Ann. Explaining her hilarious personality on the phone just doesn't do her justice.

This picture is Ann and I at the airport. We woke up the day before with colds. As you can see we both have red noses! So aside from not being able to breath and blowing my nose every few seconds the plane ride was good. An did great with landing and even on our lay over. I think she just loves new places and people to see.

So Scott took this video after she said mama and i thought the camera was off but her was secretly taping us. I think it is pretty cute with her chunky little legs. She loves to play with that little toy that sucks out her boogers... don't worry i cleaned it out and watch her really close so she doesn't hurt herself :)
